Description
- To manage project scoping, business cases approval, project planning, risk management, quality control, implementation and post implementation review
- To liaise with external vendors in sourcing, selection and implementation of software products;
- Coordinate, monitor and provide leadership to business and project teams throughout the program lifecycle to complete program/projects according to plan within budget controls and defined quality standards.
- To provide leadership and to manage performance of project resources including internal and external parties who are involved in the execution of the projects
- To analyze and manage the impacts, interfaces and inter-dependencies of different projects; and
To solve business and technical problems and propose alternatives or solutions.
- Work with stakeholders and other subject matter experts to assess current capabilities, understand requirements, and apply technical background / understanding in the development of project documents.
- Work with the business to design effective processes; identify and define detailed product requirements and use cases.
- Ensure technical design and delivery meet business/operational needs based on defined requirements.
- Participate and/or drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT), partner/3rd party integration testing, and production validation
- Manage internal and external service providers, collaborate with stakeholders across multiple geographies. Develop and maintain a strategic network across the organization which can be utilized to successfully drive projects.
- To ensure compliance with IT related governance, including but not limited to IT Security & IT standards & policies.
- Adhere to existing processes / standards of the bank’s Project Life Cycle, including the system development life cycle (SDLC) and project /Program management methodology, business technology architecture, risk and production capacity guidelines and escalate issues as required.
- Communicate project status and provide timely escalation of issues to management and other Project Delivery Managers.
- Assist in the identification of opportunities to minimize cost, provide recommendations and/or deliver corresponding strategic solutions to support cost effectiveness and to enhance stakeholder experience.
- Partner with team members to develop effective resolutions to project issues and conflicts.
- Work in a senior role and coach, mentor and motivate new project team members, and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Prioritize and manage own workload and team’s workload in order to deliver quality results and meet timelines.
- Building and improving process and technology platforms for effective delivery of the propositions.
- Exercise the responsibility and authority to take steps to ensure the successful execution and delivery of program.
- Responsible for all program aspects including stakeholder, communication, benefit management and transferring value to operations from end to end.
- Any other mission critical task for the bank assigned by head of the project delivery.
- Responsible for ensuring that the KPI and SLA as set out for the program & service is adhered too
- Lead and counsel business and IT on vendor governance by improving existing service and performance; enhancing operational stability; contributing to cost savings; and driving revenue opportunities by consistently practicing Vendor Management disciplines including: performance management, relationship management, financial management and contract administration.
- Understanding of the significance of IT infrastructure and/or Application change in a large financial services environment and familiarity with technology strategy and architectural concepts for technology direction.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master or bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Industrial Engineer, or IT.
- PMP is a must, PgMP is preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- 10 years’ strong record of accomplishment with hands on Portfolio/ Program – Project / Delivery management. Running complex multi-million programs in banking services
- Clear experience in transformation programs that involved significant cost reduction/simplification/IT rationalization/process rationalization
- Ideally experience in Agile transformation in banking
- Highly experienced in customer management, relationship management, multi-partner relationships, multi geography engagements
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence, negotiation, establish credibility and work with gravitas
- Possess excellent communication skills and demonstrates proven capability to build relationships at all levels. Speaking and writing both Arabic and English at a professional level
