Bahri is currently recruiting for a Planning & Business Development Sr. Manager to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

What you will be doing
You will be responsible for defining clear plans to connect the Bahri Strategic Vision to execution through the identification & development of business opportunities and incubation of the same. Additionally, you will oversee and guard the quality of the performance related and decision-making material shared with our Board of Directors and challenge and stress-test the business plans of our various business lines.
This role reports to the Vice President Business Planning, which is part of the Integrated Planning function with Bahri.
Key Responsibilities
The function consists of 2 key elements:
- Ownership of the planning cycle
- Bahri Strategy execution planning and progress tracking
- Challenge / stress-test BU plans to ensure value creation and enablement
- Design and run standard process for preparing, iterating, aligning and finalizing plans
- Define, frame and facilitate planning decision-making
- Define planning topics for Board meetings
- Provide standard requirements and templates to BUs to prepare for meetings
- Business development and special projects
- Identify & develop (adjacent) business opportunities
- Own assessment and prioritization of business development opportunities
- Incubate new ventures until they are passed on to the line organization
Who are you
- You have first-hand experience with most if not all these topics, so you know that this role requires hard work, grit and determination
- You understand and value the importance of effective communication (in every form) so to put our Executive Management in the position to take informed decisions
- Self-motivated and driven with the experience and confidence to know what needs to be delivered
- You have 10 to 15 years of relevant experience gained by:
- working for leading shipping companies
- or as Management Consultant working on relevant private sector assignments
- You’re a team player, pragmatic, have a great sense of humor and a “can-do” attitude
- You have a commercial focus and a quality focus
- You preferably have a University Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field
