Job Purpose
The International Affairs Expert is responsible for supporting and maintaining positive relationships with international regulatory bodies, fostering collaboration, and ensuring alignment with global best practices in insurance regulation.
Key Responsibilities and Activities
Operations Management
Implementation of the Department’s policies, regulations, procedures, and controls so that all relevant procedural/ legislative requirements are met while delivering high-quality and cost-effective results.
International Affairs
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with international regulatory bodies, government agencies, and relevant stakeholders.
- Support in representing the Authority at international conferences, forums, and working groups.
- Coordinate with internal departments to align international strategies with organizational goals.
- Facilitate communication and information exchange between the Authority and its international counterparts.
- Document and develop action plans regarding discussions with international similar regulatory bodies.
- Support in the collaboration with international counterparts to develop joint initiatives and projects.
- Conduct research and analysis on international insurance regulations and market trends.
- Develop periodic reports about the department’s operations and the Authority’s international relationships.
- Develop and communicate newsletters with internal communication department regarding the Authority’s key international partnerships.
- Perform other activities as and when required.
Qualifications and Requirements
Knowledge and Experience
- 5 years or more of relevant experience in International Relationship Management.
- Experience in managing international affairs and relationships.
- Experience in system being used.
- Previous experience in government sector or regulatory bodies is preferred.
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in International Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant certification is preferred.
