Commercial Manager

Job Purpose :

To establish, lead and develop commercial relationships with potential and existing customers.

To develop new business ideas and secure contracts by collaborating with business partners & stakeholders.


Accountabilities:


  • Arranging weekly visits to potential and current customers to explore new business opportunities and maintain relationships.
  • Being visible in the wider market as a promoter of King Abdullah Port building relationships with Shipping Lines, Logistics Companies, Importers and Exporters.
  • Contributing to the development of the department plans and strategies in alignment with the vision and mission of PDC.
  • Working within approved departmental policies, processes, procedures and monitoring progress.
  • Preparation of project feasibility studies, budgets, and commercial proposals.
  • Developing Customer contracts with support from CCO, and other KAP departments including Legal, Finance, Engineering and Operations.
  • Tracking financial and KPI performance.
  • Initiated, coordinated and participated in Customer and Industry events reception, and provided sufficient business information in PDC business events.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of departmental systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans.
  • Preparing timely and accurate departmental reports to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards
  • Complying with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
  • 10 -15 years of relevant experience in Sales/Logistics/Shipping/Port Management or related field.
  • Effective verbal & written Communication and presentation Skills.
  • Focused on maintaining client relationships and satisfaction.
  • Proficient in creating and managing comprehensive documentation.
  • Skilled in negotiation and contract management.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective teamwork and partnership skills.
  • Strong analytical and resolution skills.
  • Skilled in planning, executing, and finalizing projects
