Responsibilities:


  • Strategically manage the procurement of capital materials and equipment, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and MBCC policies.
  • Oversee the entire purchase requisition process for non-stock and capital items, from initiation to approval, ensuring clarity and accuracy in specifications.
  • Lead the bid evaluation process, ensuring that bids are solicited from approved suppliers whenever possible and that proposals meet MBCC's quality and cost expectations.
  • Collaborate with the Technical and Capital Officer to clarify technical details and finalize specifications, enhancing the efficiency of the procurement process.
  • Initiate and manage the supplier approval process for new suppliers, ensuring they meet MBCC's standards for quality and reliability.
  • Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring all details are accurate and communicated effectively to suppliers.
  • Act as a liaison between MBCC and suppliers, managing communications and negotiations to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to non-conforming deliveries in collaboration with technical teams, ensuring that all products and services meet MBCC's specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and hygiene standards in all procurement activities.
  • Maintain meticulous records of all procurement documents, ensuring they are organized and easily accessible for future reference.
  • Actively participate in the development and optimization of procurement procedures and policies to achieve cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Employ value analysis techniques to ensure the lowest total cost of ownership for purchases.
  • Expedite delivery of purchase orders and maintain up-to-date reports on procurement activities.


Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the mining or industrial sectors.



Experience and Skills Requirements:

  • Bilingual proficiency in Arabic and English, with the ability to write clear and precise correspondence in both languages.
  • Experienced in using SAP or a similar system for procurement management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision, maintaining effective working relationships and adhering to company policies and ethical standards.
