The Ancillary Airport Officer oversees the sales marketing and customer proposition for the airline's ancillary products including Converting data into valuable information to identify opportunities using internal/external data sources / responsible to develop Flynas’s ancillary (non-flight) products and services on all distribution channels in particular at the airport products.
Key Accountabilities
Functional
- Monitor every Airport (both KSA and outstations) related ancillary revenue streams on a daily and monthly basis to ensure precise collections from outstations. The collection of excess baggage at every airport in line with the company’s rules and regulations is one of the priorities.
- Propose and support implement internal and external projects for improvement of existing ancillary revenues in particular that of Airport Sales.
- Identify new opportunities for ancillary revenue streams (follow market developments, benchmark competitor offers, novelty service, etc.).
- Identify gaps in opportunity for sales employees / Airport Staff / Crew and report to Manager Ancillary to help increase ancillaries through programs and procedures.
- Assist in organizing training if required to airport staff both in KSA and in outstations.
- Help in achieving airline targets with regards to ancillary revenues; working with providers and commercial colleagues to continually improve products and distribution channels.
- Ensure policies relating to ancillary revenue products are defined, documented, communicated and understood, both internally and externally and abided by.
- Reviewing any baggage waivers
- Ensure check-in counter revenue is being produced
- Adhered to the processes / procedures laid out at check-in counters
- Develop new inanities related to airport / ground opportunities (such as priority check-in, fast track, airport check-in charges)
- Responsible for liaison with third party suppliers including but not limited to airport services, operational ground staff and catering providers, and other ancillary product providers, to grow revenue and ancillary product and service opportunities
- Responsible for ensuring that terms & conditions of both the airline and ancillary programs are advised to both customer and staff
- Develop and implement comprehensive ancillary pricing strategy for airport sales to maximize revenue and profitability.
- Analyze market trends, competitor pricing and customer behavior to inform pricing decisions.
- Monitor and analyze competitor pricing strategies for flight and non-flight ancillary products at the airport / in-flight
- Conduct regular benchmarking to ensure our pricing remains competitive in the market.
- Collaborate with airport teams teams to implement product changes and updates under the guidance of ancillary manager as PM.
- Analyze and optimize commercial proposition for third-party products, including partnerships with airports, ground handlers and catering providers.
Other Responsibilities:
- Understand reports on Ancillary Revenue to ensure the right work is being done on projects which are underperforming, recommending actions where appropriate.
- Proactively work with all airline departments and product providers to ensure ancillary revenue products are optimized in terms of distribution, customer experience and revenues at all times.
- Communicate effectively with all members of the department in line with the company guidelines.
- Manage external providers (when required), ensuring highest standards of service delivery whilst achieving revenue and profit targets.
- Develop strong and lasting working relationships with all airline departments to ensure the smooth operation of the business.
- Provide data and any other available analysis to identify and deliver new product ideas, driving opportunities for co-brand and/or partner projects.
- Work closely with Ancillary partners and translate that cooperation to ancillary strategy and implementation.
- Develop and enforce legal framework to ensure that new and existing partners align with Ancillary best practices and policies.
- Cooperate with the Ancillary team on internal and external marketing tools to introduce products.
- Prepare and present regular revenue performance reports on ancillary airport services.
Required Job Specifications
Academic Qualifications: Bachelor degree in information technology, Management Information System, mathematics, finance, economics or equivalent
Professional Experience: 1 - 2 Years of Experience In related filed.
Licenses and Certifications: Knowledge of Navitaire: Sky schedule, Sky speed, GoNow
