Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to manage financial transactions and ensure compliance with the company’s accounting policies and procedures. This is an entry-level position suitable for candidates looking to gain experience in the food and beverage retail industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate financial reports and statements under the supervision of senior accountants.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and company policies.
- Maintain organized and accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Assist in preparing tax returns and ensuring timely tax filings.
- Work with internal departments to ensure the accurate reflection of financial data.
- Support external auditors during audits and ensure timely delivery of information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 0-2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in retail or the food and beverage industry.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with financial audits and local tax laws in Saudi Arabia.
- Prior experience in the food and beverage retail industry is a plus.
- Strong communication skills in both Arabic and English.
