Job Summary:
The Cost Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing financial management and cost control across all
projects within our Contracting business. This role ensures accurate and efficient tracking of
expenditures, contributes to budget management, and supports overall financial performance through
rigorous cost control practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and verify project expenditures, including reviewing and approving invoices and vendor
claims.
Develop, prepare, and manage detailed project budgets and schedules.
Implement and maintain cost control procedures and detailed cost breakdowns.
Track project progress, analyze budget variances, and proactively address any issues.
Provide comprehensive cost control support, including reporting on budget variations, project
milestones, and customer billing.
Prepare and submit monthly project costing reports to ensure alignment with budgetary
constraints.
Enhance overall financial performance through effective and innovative cost control practices.
Skills
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Preferably Civil stream .
Overall 15+ years of experience and 4+ years at management level in cost control management,
preferably within the contracting or construction industry.
Proven track record of managing complex budgets and implementing cost control procedures.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with stakeholders at all
levels.
Proficiency in financial software and project management tools, with experience in ERP systems
such as Danous, SAP, MS Dynamics 365, or Oracle.
Key task includes Implementation of Project View ERP software. Prior experience in ERP
software implementation will be an added advantage.
