Role Purpose

  • The Project Construction Director is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing all construction projects at NEOM. Candidate able to implement and manage Project construction contracts in luxurious hotels resort constructions developments. Monitoring related resorts and backbone utilities, and infrastructure contractual executions and supporting related construction contractors’ management process. This position involves strategic planning, budgeting, organization, implementation, and scheduling of projects, ensuring adherence to quality standards, building regulations, and safety protocols. The Project Construction Director provides guidance and direction to the construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring successful project delivery within established timelines and budgets.

 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead and provide strategic vision for all construction projects across NEOM, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement construction project management strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize project performance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and consultants, to review project requirements, scope, and design, ensuring feasibility and compliance.
  • Oversee the development of project plans, including deliverable scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting.
  • Direct and manage construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, providing guidance, support, and resolving complex issues.
  • Monitor and evaluate project progress, identifying and addressing potential risks, delays, and deviations from plans.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration between cross-functional teams, departments, and stakeholders involved in construction projects.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities, ensuring compliance with building codes, permits, and licenses.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and construction best practices.
  • Manage project budgets, tracking expenditures, controlling costs, and implementing cost-saving measures where applicable.
  • Oversee the procurement of tools, materials, and equipment, ensuring timely availability and efficient utilization.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports to senior management, providing updates on project status, milestones, and key performance indicators.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, promoting innovation, efficiency, and excellence in construction project execution.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in construction project management

BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge, Skills  and Experience

 

  • Minimum of 15 years of extensive experience in engineering work, with a strong focus on project management and construction, preferably in large-scale infrastructure or development projects.
  • Previous experience in Project construction contracts in luxurious hotels resort constructions developments and responsible charge of planning, design, and implementation of water facilities and infrastructure projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of multi-disciplinary practices in construction, including process, surveying, geotechnical, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and safety standards applicable to construction projects.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with the capacity to effectively manage project risks and resolve issues.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools for scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related Engineering Project management field.
  • Advanced degree or professional certifications in project management or construction management are advantageous.
