Knowledge, Skills, and Experience | - Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Fire and Explosion Engineering, and Safety Engineering Technology, Fire Science, or equivalent from a recognized and approved program. Alternatively, Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial or closely related subject from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree and is preferred.
- Relevant years of experience in fire safety, which focused on addressing technical safety and fire prevention engineering issues. Professional Engineering licensing/certification/registration in Fire Protection Engineering, or an advanced degree is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including SBC, NFPA, IBC and IFC
- Previous extensive experience in reviewing fire and life safety strategies for mega projects
- Strong technical skills in fire safety systems design and commissioning, includes experience with various types of fire safety systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including contractors, architects, and building owners, and to work collaboratively with other members of the project teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capable in manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and work under tight deadlines.
- Full understanding of technical specifications of fire and life safety systems.
- Experience in quality of fire and life safety systems, components and materials.
- Effective design drawing and shop drawing review of all fire safety systems.
- Previous experience in mentoring team of junior engineers, inspectors and fresh graduates
- Has knowledge of the authority approval process.
- Typing skill, at least 60 WPM.
- Solid knowledge in compliance and generation of observations supported by Codes/Standards for any incompliance.
- Experience in giving technical speeches to colleagues or seminars.
