JOB PURPOSE
To handle project management planning and operations to ensure efficient product planning, development and release within set timeline, budget and requirements.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Responsibility
- Coordinate with Product Manager to understand product-related strategy and roadmap, prioritized initiatives, features, high-level designs, and requirements
- Develop project management tools, methods, guidelines, and governance framework ensuring alignment with product-related strategy and objectives
- Define new projects’ scope of work, objectives, and plan, clarify interdependencies between other projects, set key milestones and assign stakeholders to ensure timely release of products
- Coordinate with Product Manager and higher management to agree on allocated budget, schedule, vendors’ pre-qualification, and selection criteria
- Provide support to concerned stakeholders regarding development of RFPs, selection of vendors and contractual terms and conditions based on provided input
- Conduct workshops with internal and external stakeholders to communicate project master plan, governance, templates, and tools to ensure consistent project execution and timely development and release of product
- Coordinate with Product Manager to conduct pre-project risk assessment, identify preventive actions and provide feedback/advice prior to project start date
- Review weekly/monthly reports to evaluate project progress ensuring alignment with project plan and budget, highlight any risk, intervene when needed and provide recommendations
- Monitor and track continuously project budget and timeline to avoid deviations from plan and recommend corrective actions when needed
- Act as a focal point between Product Management and Software Development teams to ensure all inquiries and pending issues are properly addressed and suggested improvements are applied
- Conduct RAID analysis (Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies) and submit related report to higher management and Product Manager for decision making purposes: Project Reporting and Closure, Review and analyze projects' KPIs measurement results, budget expenditures and resource utilization ratios and suggest improvement action plans
- Contribute to project closure activities that include project closure reporting, product release, identification of lessons learnt and issuance of certificate of completion
- Analyze vendors/suppliers’ performance reports, highlight key insights and suggest necessary actions to be taken by relevant stakeholders
Planning and Strategy
- Participate in the preparation of department's strategy and roadmap
- Work toward achievement of department's strategy, objectives and KPIs
- Follow the department's plan and suggest improvements if needed
People Management
- Guide, mentor and develop the System Architecture and Design department’s team as part of their continuous development
Budget Management
- Provide a plan for current and future projects to be managed and provide effort and resources needed to assist in the budgeting process
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge and Experience: 3 to 6 years of relevant experience
Education and Certification: B. Tech in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Information Technology or master’s in business administration/master’s in computer application or other graduation/post graduate stream with relevant work experience
