Supply Chain Specialist

. Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Work with finance, procurement, distribution and manufacturing team to determine best vendors and distributors (based on price, quality, and delivery speed) while ensuring a good and professional relationship.

- Ensure the accurate processing of goods receipts and solve any obstacles in a timely manner (e.g. delays in delivery, accidents).

- Optimize inventory performance by keeping a detailed database, in coordination with the IT department, of expected usage per project and to ensure the continuity of supply.

- Find cost-efficient shipment procedures, methods and solutions for supply chain processes.

- Work with supply chain team to ensure customer needs are fulfilled.

- Maintain and process documentation.

- Liaise with project managers, technicians, customer service, buyers, and Sales to provide delivery dates and shipping information

- Ensure to meet the assessing budgets prior to procuring goods and services.

- Investigate qualitative and quantitative discrepancies between goods ordered and goods received.

- Assist in preparation of tender documents to ensure the assembly of realistic and commercial tenders.

- Analyze data from shipping and delivering processes.

- Monitor logistics to make sure they run smoothly.

- Ensure that the supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards

- Familiarize self with the Health and Safety requirements and ensure that the accounting team promote and comply with them.

- Take responsibility to rectify hazardous situations, reporting major areas of concern to the Management.

- Ensure security incidents reviewed, and corrective measures implemented to prevent recurring incidents.


- Requirements & Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in business administration or management or industrial management or related field from an accredited university.

· A minimum of 3 years of related experience as a supply chain specialist.

• Proficient in relevant computer software (SAP, ERP)

• Good oral and written communication skills in Arabic and English

• Experience in improving supply chain data, information and processes.

• Professional communication skills are essential when conversing and negotiating with vendors

• Top-level understanding of all aspects of supply chain processes

• Experience working in and maintaining databases

• High level of computer literacy, with specific requirements for Microsoft office, ERP etc..

• High level of English language skills, both written and oral

• Strong negotiation skills

• Well-developed oral and written communication skills

• Project and time management ability working knowledge

• Sound knowledge of procurement procedures and systems

• A good level of computer ability Awareness

• Community, cultural and political awareness
