A Quantity Surveyor (Internal Audit) is responsible for managing all aspects of the cost and commercial management of construction projects. They play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed within budget and to the highest quality standards. The Quantity Surveyor will be based in Jeddah/Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and will work for a private sector employer.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct internal audits and prepare detailed audit reports and presentations for management.
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for construction projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost benefit analysis to determine the viability of projects.
- Manage the procurement process, including sourcing materials and subcontractors.
- Monitor project costs and prepare regular reports to track expenditure.
- Ensure that projects are completed within budget and according to the agreed schedule.
Skills
Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Experience:
• Proficiency in written and spoken English (Arabic is a plus).
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying.
• Sound knowledge of variations and claims mechanisms / practical cases.
• Sound knowledge of international principles of measurement.
• Excellent analytical Skills.
• Proficient in IT and Computer Skills.
• Familiarity with KSA Government Tenders and Procurement Law.
• Experience in the Middle East.
• Internal audit experience.
• KSA based candidates are preferred, but international candidates will be considered.
• CA / CPA / CIA / CISA / PMP is a plus.
