Responsibilities: 

  1.  
  2. Assess patients prior to surgery to ensure they are in optimal health for the procedure.
  3. Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and sterile solutions.
  4. Verify the patient’s identity, surgical site, and procedure to be performed.
  5. Assist in the preparation and administration of preoperative medications.
  6. Educate patients and their families about the surgical process and postoperative care.
  7. Assist the surgical team by passing instruments and supplies during the procedure.
  8. Maintain a sterile field and ensure all team members adhere to aseptic techniques.
  9. Monitor the patient’s vital signs and surgical site during the procedure.
  10. Handle specimens collected during surgery for laboratory analysis.
  11. Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other team members to ensure smooth
  12. Transfer patients to the recovery room and provide postoperative care.
  13. Monitor patients’ recovery and manage any complications that arise.
  14. Provide postoperative instructions to patients and their families.
  15. Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are cleaned and sterilized properly
