Position Summary: The Store Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our retail store. This position requires a dynamic individual with excellent leadership, customer service, and organizational skills. The Store Supervisor will assist the Store Manager in overseeing the daily operations, including sales, staff supervision, inventory management, and customer service. Key Responsibilities: Sales and Customer Service: Lead by example to ensure exceptional customer service is delivered at all times. Assist in driving sales and achieving sales targets and KPIs. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues in a professional and efficient manner. Promote and maintain high standards of customer service and ensure all team members are trained in customer service techniques. Staff Supervision: Supervise, motivate, and support a team of sales associates. Assist in recruiting, training, and developing staff members. Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback. Schedule staff shifts and manage daily staff coverage. Inventory and Stock Management: Manage inventory levels, stock replenishment, and stock control procedures. Ensure the store is well-stocked and displays are visually appealing. Conduct regular inventory audits and resolve discrepancies. Operations and Administration: Assist in opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and store security. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for both customers and staff. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Visual Merchandising: Plan and implement visual merchandising strategies to enhance the store's appearance and sales. Ensure all displays are set up according to company standards and are regularly updated. Reporting and Communication: Provide regular reports on sales performance, staff performance, and other operational metrics to the Store Manager. Communicate effectively with the Store Manager and other team members to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications: Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience in retail, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role. Education: High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in business, retail management, or a related field is a plus. Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Good organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficiency in using retail software and point-of-sale (POS) systems. Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices. Personal Attributes: Positive attitude and a passion for retail. Detail-oriented and proactive. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Working Conditions: Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift and move merchandise, typically not exceeding 40 pounds. A dynamic retail environment that may require extended working hours during peak seasons.
