Director of revenue cycle management

Job Purpose<br/><br/>The Director of Revenue Cycle Management is a key leadership position accountable for the holistic performance of the hospital's revenue cycle, from patient access to billing, claims, revenue integrity, and collections. In this role, you will supervise the managers responsible for these areas, driving efficiency and effectiveness across the revenue cycle process. Your responsibilities include implementing strategies for process optimization, leading revenue growth initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, and building collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders<br/><br/>Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities<br/><br/>Leadership and Strategy: Provide strategic direction aligning revenue cycle goals with the organization's mission. Mentor and guide revenue cycle managers, fostering a high-performance culture.<br/><br/>Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and revenue generation. Analyze data and key performance indicators to optimize revenue cycle functions. Financial Management: Monitor and exceed revenue targets, collaborating on budgets and financial reports. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and implement necessary policies. Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate positive relationships with internal stakeholders, promoting collaboration. Act as the primary contact for external stakeholders, addressing concerns and negotiating contracts. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish and measure key performance indicators for the revenue cycle department. Generate comprehensive reports, providing strategic insights to executive leadership.<br/><br/>Project Management: Oversee successful planning, execution, and completion of revenue cycle projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, addressing challenges during project lifecycles. Specific Duties: Develop and implement a strategic vision for the revenue cycle, ensuring compliance. Supervise day-to-day operations, including scheduling, registration, billing, and reconciliation. Maintain payer relationships, resolving claims issues and maximizing reimbursement. Improve revenue collection rates through strategic initiatives. Identify and assess new revenue cycle opportunities, managing related projects. Provide guidance and support to the four managers, ensuring seamless operations.<br/><br/>Respects patients and their families to promote a patient-centered care culture. Participates in and supports quality improvement and patient safety activities as an individual or as part of a multidisciplinary team. Performs other job related duties, as assigned.<br/><br/>Job Qualifications and Experience Minimum or Required: Master Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare profession (i.e. Nursing, Pharmacy) or any related field with 8 years of Experience.
