Job Title Site Electrical Supervisor BHS Eng Job Description About Role As an electrical supervisor at Vanderlande, your role revolves around ensuring the successful installation of electrical and electromechanical equipment. You will lead a team, fostering a safety-first culture throughout project execution, and maintain a strong presence on-site, regularly inspecting for safety and quality. You will also play a vital role in training new technicians to improve team capabilities while delivering essential project documentation that keeps our operations running smoothly. Responsibilities List of responsibilities Supervision: Organize and supervise the installation of electrical and electromechanical equipment for Vanderlande material handling projects in line with the project schedule. Guidance: Provide clear instructions to the onsite installation team, ensuring that all installation work complies with quality standards and strictly adheres to Vanderlande processes. Safety Focus: Foster a culture of safety among installations team throughout the project execution. Quality Control: Maintain a strong onsite presence through regular site walks and a thorough auditing schedule, with a focus on safety and quality control in alignment with Vanderlande standards. Monitoring & Reporting: Contribute to creating the project installation schedule and adhere to it to meet project timelines. Monitor the team's progress, identify opportunities for improvement, and support continuous enhancement efforts. Regularly report on work progress to the Site Manager, ensuring effective coordination with subcontractors and stakeholders. Continuous Improvement: Assume responsibility for training new technicians to enhance their skills, fostering ongoing team improvement, and promoting the core value of "Everyday Better" through lessons learned. Support: Organize and facilitate all support activities to ensure a smooth commissioning and testing process until handover to the customer. Responsible for activities Perform EM Installation Perform Field wiring test before Power-On Perform Power-Up Perform Safety and Area EM Inspection Responsible for deliverables As Built Notes Defect List Electrical static test report Field wiring Test Report Before Power On Power-Up protocol test report Consulted in activities. Commission Conveying Commission Safety Span of Control Create Installation Spare Parts MECreate Site Management Plan Make EM Documentation as built. Pre-Commission Conveying Cabinet Pre-Commission Safety Pre-Commission Safety PLC – Cabinet Desired Experience Minimum 2-5 years of experience in executing material handling projects/ leading Site installation teams for MHS. Understanding of material handling equipment, electromechanical components, cabinets, and field wiring commonly used in material handling system (MHS) projects. Ability to comprehend engineering drawings, specifications, layouts, and effectively interpret project and planning schedules. Knowledge of diverse types of Switch gears, Drives and RLC circuits, & Experience of I/O testing. Proficiency in troubleshooting electromechanical issues and taking proactive measures to resolve them. Experience in supporting LLC (Low Level Control) commissioning for I/O tests and Mechanical Run Tests, including cabinet functionality. Possess conceptual knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens), different type of hardware’s, Communication protocols (Profinet, Ethernet, Profibus, ASI). Hand on experience with Auto CAD, Navis and E. Plan drawing would be advantageous. Desired Soft skills Effective communication skills Somebody who takes the initiative. Travel requirements will vary based on project needs and locations.
