Electrical supervisor

Scope of Position: Under the supervision of the Director of Engineering, Assistant Director of Engineering and FLS Manager. The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the safety and comfort of all guests, colleagues, and visitors of the Mandarin Oriental, Al Faisaliah Hotel, and assisting in the coordination of all maintenance & repairs of the facilities and equipment. The Engineering Supervisor position is responsible for performing highly diversifieddutiesto install, troubleshoot,repairand maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productivemaintenancesystems and processes to support the achievement of the department and hotel business goals Responsibilities: Respond to and attend to repair requests. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests. Understand and operate advanced electrical, plumbing, air conditioning & refrigeration, laundry & kitchen equipment, solar systems, and boiler systems. Communicate with different types of people to comprehend what they want and to provide them with information and assistance. Interpret readings from meters, gauges, and other measuring units. Prioritize and organize work assignments. Read and understand test equipment, measuring devices, and safety manuals. Perform maintenance activities in the guest room, like plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, electrical equipment, including lamps, air conditioners / HVACand AC ducts. Perform maintenance activities in hotel public areaslike plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, plumbing and electrical equipment, and cosmetic items. Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment. Clean, lubricate, protect, and otherwise maintain all tools and equipment in the hotel. Operate as an independent mechanic by analyzing problems, identifying courses of action, and implementing solutions with available resources and to a high degree of quality. Be available for any emergencies and act in an engineering capacity to protect guests and associates and preserve the building and its systems during the emergency. Read and understand blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical parts breakdown. Carry out specific oral and written instructions. Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed. Maintain the hotel facility and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings. Communicate each day’s activities and problems that occur to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards. Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries To abide by all rules, regulations, and policies LQE & MOQA Standards. To be responsible for retrieving and completing work orders as per policies and procedures in Hot So STo be responsible for completing all work order from Hot So S prior to ending the shift. Complete safety training and certifications Properly store flammable materials. Adhere to ‘Safe & Sound’ procedures Attend meetings and trainings as requested Perform other duties as assigned by Director, Assistant director of engineering, and FLS Engineer. Sustainable Responsibilities: This role involves implementing eco-friendly practices, educating guests/colleagues on sustainable initiatives, and continuously seeking ways to minimize the hotel's environmental footprint. Knowledge of waste sorting and recycling procedures. Energy Conservation: Water Conservation. Supporting sustainability initiatives.
