Sushi Chef Riyadh

On behalf of an award-winning Asian restaurant in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia we are seeking an experienced Sushi Chef.
The Sushi Chef's responsibilities include handling a wide range of raw fish and other ingredients, managing food stock, and attention to detail and quality standards. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with Japanese/ Korean cuisine.
You will create new and innovative sushi rolls while also honoring traditional sushi-making techniques, catering to the diverse preferences of guests.
Engaging with customers, providing a warm and welcoming dining experience, explaining menu items, and accommodating special requests.
Showcasing your mastery of knife techniques and meticulous precision, resulting in visually stunning and consistently perfect sushi dishes.
Demonstrating unwavering commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards, ensuring a safe environment while preparing sushi delicacies.
Assisting in inventory management and cost control measures, supporting the smooth operation of our sushi kitchen.
You will also manage the ingredients handling and preparation.
It is crucial that you maintain a deep understanding of which ingredients taste well together.
Success in this role will be demonstrated by serving specialty sushi dishes to provide a rich and distinct Asian dining experience.
Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or certification from a culinary schoolMinimum 4 to 5 years of culinary experience
In-depth knowledge of food safety requirements for restaurants
Able to stand for extended hours.
Precise and skilled in handling knives, exhibiting acute attention to detail to guarantee the artistic presentation and flawless execution of each sushi creation.
Extensive expertise in a diverse range of sushi ingredients, ensuring the use of only the freshest seafood sourced from reputable suppliers.
Skilled in time management, maintaining a smooth workflow, and managing multiple orders effectively during busy periods.
Exceptional time management abilities, ensuring efficient handling of numerous orders and a well-organized workflow during peak service times.
Adept at managing time efficiently, and maintaining a seamless flow of orders during high-demand periods.
Diligently upholding food safety and sanitation standards, keeping the sushi bar immaculate, and ensuring a safe dining environment.
