Job Description Networking Protocols and Technologies: ● Proficiency in TCP/IP fundamentals, including IPv4 and IPv6 addressing, subnetting, and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP). ● Understanding of switching concepts such as VLANs, STP, EtherChannel, and Layer 2 security mechanisms (e.g., MAC address filtering, port security). ● Familiarity with WAN technologies like MPLS, VPNs, SD-WAN, and QoS for optimizing network performance and reliability. Routing and Switching: ● Experience configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and other network devices from vendors like Cisco, Juniper, Arista, or HPE. ● Knowledge of dynamic routing protocols and their attributes, including route redistribution, route summarization, and path selection criteria. ● Hands-on experience with router and switch configuration, VLAN management, access control lists (ACLs), and network segmentation.
