Thorough knowledge of all general construction disciplines including concrete and civil construction with primary experience in the installation of mechanical systems and rigging practices.
- Responsible for the planning and enforcement of safety standards with own crew and others on the worksite
- Thorough knowledge of the planning, layout, and execution of the installation of piping systems that are flanged, grooved, welded, glued, and /or mechanically joined
- Knowledge and experience in the assembly and installation of industrial and process machines and related equipment including bolting, welding, machining work, etc.
- Ability to provide accurate layout and measurements for mechanical systems and structures including lines and grades from established benchmarks and control points
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and Megohmmeters, to ensure compatibility and safety of the system.
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
- Working knowledge of job cost report and labor production report review and analysis
- Thorough knowledge of corporate quality control program
- Ability to take direction and manage multiple people
- Ability to read drawings, submittals, and specifications
