Role Overview

The Outsourcing Engineer is a key member of the Procurement function at SKM Air Conditioning, based in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time role involves managing the sourcing, evaluation, and outsourcing of materials essential for business operations and specialized projects. The Outsourcing Engineer ensures that materials from external suppliers meet the company's standards for quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery, working closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and the broader procurement team to optimize material supply and achieve strategic procurement objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead new sourcing projects.
• Coordinate with the Engineering department for new requirements or supplier needs.
• Coordinate with the Sales department for new requirements or supplier needs.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure accuracy of material orders.
• Review Purchase Orders (POs) and make necessary corrections.
• Evaluate all purchased parts and provide recommendations regarding suppliers or products.
• Review non-standard items and recommend suitable products or suppliers.
• Maintain full coordination with the procurement team.
• Conduct cost analyses for new products, including comparisons with existing products.
• Obtain samples and follow up on sample approval with Quality Control (QC).
• Review all Bill of Materials (BOM) changes requested by Engineering and take appropriate action.
• Manage outsourcing activities and programs.
• Review manufacturing processes and recommend improvements to reduce costs.
• Responsible for cost reduction initiatives for produced units.
• Undertake any other assignments as directed by management.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in an outsourcing or procurement role.
• Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships and procurement processes.
• Strong analytical skills for cost analysis and product evaluation.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
