About Ornua and the Opportunity

Ornua is seeking a dedicated Lab Technician to join our team in Riyadh. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in upholding our quality standards and operational excellence.

Role Purpose

The Lab Technician is essential for monitoring and performing necessary tests on raw materials, finished goods, and production line samples. This role also involves monitoring and validating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and conducting environmental monitoring tests to ensure product quality and safety throughout our processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, label, and prepare raw material, in-process, finished product, and environmental samples for laboratory testing.
• Perform routine physical, chemical, and microbiological tests in accordance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning properly.
• Accurately record test results, maintain laboratory documentation, and prepare reports in compliance with quality standards.
• Support quality control activities by monitoring product quality and identifying any deviations from specifications.
• Assist in investigating out-of-specification (OOS) results and report abnormalities to the Quality Assurance or Laboratory Supervisor.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the laboratory, including proper handling and disposal of chemicals and biological waste.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience in a laboratory setting.

Quality and Compliance Focus

• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), HACCP principles, and food safety regulations during all laboratory activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all laboratory data.

Collaboration and Improvement

• Coordinate with production and quality teams to ensure timely testing and release of raw materials and finished products.
• Participate in internal audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives related to laboratory operations and quality systems.
