Overview:The Database Specialist is responsible for administering, maintaining, monitoring, and supporting organizational databases to ensure availability, performance, security, and data integrity. The role focuses on database administration, troubleshooting, backup and recovery, performance optimization, and operational support.
Key Responsibilities:Install, configure, maintain, and administer database systems. Monitor database availability, performance, capacity, and overall health. Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents and performance issues. Perform database backup, recovery, and restoration activities. Support database security, access controls, and user permissions. Perform database maintenance, updates, patches, and performance optimization. Maintain database documentation, configurations, and operational records. Coordinate and escalate complex database issues to relevant teams or vendors.
Talent Profile:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in database administration, database support.
