Job Details

  • Lead the overall MEP project strategy from pre-contract through completion and handover

  • Establish project governance structures, execution plans, and performance benchmarks

  • Provide directions to Project Managers, Construction Managers, and engineering teams

  • Ensure alignment between project objectives and organizational goals

  • Oversee the successful execution of MEP works in accordance with contract scope, schedule, and budget

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, cost, and progress

  • Ensure effective integration of MEP works with civil, architectural, and specialist systems

  • Intervene at critical stages to resolve high-level technical, contractual, or commercial issues

  • Maintain overall responsibility for MEP project budgets, cash flow, and profitability

  • Approve variations, claims, and change management strategies

  • Lead contract negotiations with clients, consultants, vendors, and major subcontractors

  • Manage risk registers and ensure proactive mitigation of commercial and contractual risks

  • Act as the primary senior point of contact for clients, consultants, and key stakeholders

  • Build long-term client relationships and ensure high levels of client satisfaction

  • Represent the company in executive meetings, progress reviews, and negotiations

  • Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements

  • Oversee quality assurance systems, audits, testing, commissioning, and final handover

  • Lead, mentor, and develop senior MEP leadership and project teams

  • Ensure optimal allocation of manpower, technical resources, and specialist expertise

  • Support succession planning and talent development within the MEP function

  • Review and approve master schedules, procurement strategies, and commissioning plans

  • Oversee risk management, value engineering, and constructability reviews

  • Provide accurate executive-level reporting to senior management and board-level stakeholders

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, lessons learned, and best practices

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in large-scale MEP project delivery

  • Experience delivering complex projects such as high-rise buildings, hotels, hospitals,  airports.

  • Displays exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate diverse teams.

  • Demonstrates strong financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting capabilities.

  • Exhibits excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with the ability to effectively manage subcontractors and vendors.
