Job Title: Cashier Department: Finance Reports To: Finance Manager
Job Summary The Cashier is responsible for processing patient payments and maintaining accurate financial transactions within the hospital. The role ensures proper cash handling, accurate billing and payment records, and professional customer service for patients and visitors.
Key Responsibilities Receive and process patient payments for consultations, procedures, medications, and other hospital services Process cash, card, and electronic payments and issue accurate receipts for all transactions Perform daily cash reconciliation and prepare end-of-day collection reports Coordinate with billing, admissions, and insurance teams to verify charges and resolve payment-related inquiries
Qualifications Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field1-3 years of experience in cashiering, finance, customer service, or a related role Healthcare or hospital experience is preferred Knowledge of cash handling, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and basic financial procedures is an advantage
