About the Role

AREEB is seeking a dedicated Assistant Consultant - Family Medicine to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and focuses on delivering comprehensive family medicine care within a home healthcare setting.

Role Overview

The Assistant Consultant will provide expert Family Medicine care to home healthcare patients. This involves conducting thorough assessments, accurate diagnosis, and developing effective treatment plans. A key focus is on preventive care, chronic disease management, and leveraging telemedicine to enhance patient outcomes, improve care quality, and reduce avoidable hospital readmissions through coordination with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical assessments through home visits and virtual consultations.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in line with evidence-based clinical practices.
• Develop and implement personalized care plans, including medication management, referrals, and lifestyle modifications.
• Identify high-risk patients and provide timely interventions to prevent complications and hospital readmissions.
• Educate patients and their families/caregivers on medical conditions, treatment plans, and preventive care.
• Coordinate care with specialists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and prepare reports for audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with MOH regulations.
• Implement patient safety protocols, identify, report, and escalate patient safety risks, incidents, and adverse events.
• Maintain effective communication with patients and caregivers to address concerns and enhance patient experience and satisfaction.

Qualifications and Experience

• SCFHS registration as a Family Medicine Senior Registrar is required.
• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a relevant medical field.
• Experience in home healthcare, primary care, or telemedicine is preferred.
• Experience in chronic disease management, preventive care, and home healthcare services is an advantage.

Professional Development and Collaboration

• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and patient care enhancement programs.
• Engage in medical education sessions, case discussions, and clinical training activities, providing guidance and mentorship to medical staff.
• Contribute to the development of clinical pathways, care protocols, and patient education materials.
• Maintain continuous professional development through conferences, workshops, and Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities.
• Utilize HIS platforms for patient records, electronic medical records (EHR), and virtual consultations, and participate in HIS training programs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver patient-centered care, facilitating communication and supporting timely referrals.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the home healthcare environment.
