Role Purpose The Attendance Officer I is responsible for assisting in the management of employee attendance records and ensuring compliance with attendance policies. This role involves maintaining accurate timekeeping data, supporting employee inquiries, and implementing attendance strategies that align with organizational objectives. The Attendance Officer I is essential for ensuring operational efficiency within the HR Department.



DUTIES PREFORMED % of Time Key Accountabilities Key Activities30%Attendance Management Maintain and update time and attendance records for all employees. Review and verify timesheets for accuracy and completeness. Monitor and update records related to vacation, sick leave, and other absences. Coordinate with other departments to resolve time-related issues.25%Policy Implementation Assist in the formulation and implementation of attendance policies that align with company objectives. Ensure tracking and monitoring systems are effective and promote accountability. Support the communication of attendance policies to all staff. Collaborate with HR teams to ensure policies are consistently applied.20%Reporting and Analysis Produce and distribute attendance reports as required (weekly, monthly). Analyze attendance data to identify trends or compliance issues. Assist in reconciling attendance data with payroll information. Provide insights and recommendations based on attendance metrics.15%Employee Support and Training Address employee inquiries related to attendance and time management. Facilitate training sessions on attendance systems and policies for employees. Provide ongoing support and updates regarding attendance processes. Collect employee feedback to improve attendance management practices.10%Continuous Improvement Identify opportunities for enhancing attendance management processes. Participate in initiatives aimed at adapting to best practices. Collaborate with the Attendance Supervisor to implement new tools or systems. Monitor the effectiveness of changes and recommend further improvements.

JOB SPECIFICATIONSIndustry / Domain Construction industry Necessary Knowledge and Experience Minimum of 2 years of experience in attendance management, human resources, or a related field. Strong understanding of timekeeping systems and attendance policies. Experience in data analysis and reporting related to employee attendance. Familiarity with labor laws and compliance requirements. Experience in a large organization with a diverse workforce. Knowledge of ISO standards related to quality management. Education and Certification Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Certifications in HR management or attendance systems are a plus. Job Specific Technical Skills Proficiency in attendance management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead a team effectively.
