Job Description Responsibilities:Architect and manage Linux systems (RHEL, Cent OS, SUSE) for critical infrastructure Design and manage AIX server in p Series architecture, including LPARs, VIO servers, and Power VM environments Automate OS deployments, patching, and configuration using Ansible and Salt Stack. Integrate Unix systems with security controls and monitoring tools to ensure system compliance to Security standard Analyze performance bottlenecks and provide permanent fixes via root cause analysis of Linux/AIX systems Collaborate on DR readiness and participate in high-availability testing Provide technical support in infrastructure services, responding to issues and assisting in tasks Contribute to the implementation of infrastructure projects and assignments Support the development of infrastructure documentation, including incident logs and configuration records Apply technical knowledge to address Linux/AIX infrastructure-related challenges Follow established best practices and standards in infrastructure service delivery Utilize technical skills to address infrastructure issues and incidents
Required skills:Advanced knowledge of Linux OS internals and kernel tuning Expertise in AIX OS, Power HA, Power VM, NIM, and VIO servers Experience with virtualization (KVM, VMware) and hybrid infrastructure. BASH scripting/Ansible automation LEAN methodologies Knowledge management Awareness of CIS hardening, log forwarding, and SIEM integration and Proficient in security compliance standards and OS-level auditing Experience with Ansible, Puppet or similar automation tools. Experience in setting up Linux Centralized management tool (Red Hat Satellite/SUSE Manager) and patch management Good knowledge of hybrid IT environments
Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience Typically, 10+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 6+ years in a similar role Proven experience in infrastructure technology analysis Proficiencies in data analysis and technical knowledge A continuous learner that stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology
Other Qualifications:An advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus Relevant certifications, such as Linux / AIX Certifications Familiarity with Openshift/Kubernetes
