Company Description Sustainable Water and Power Consultant (SWPC) is a fast-growing consulting company active in the fields of water treatment, desalination, wastewater, water transmission, intake and outfall modelling, power generation and sustainability, including CCUS. SWPC portfolio services typically involve technical studies, project management, basic and detail design, site activities such as site supervision for erection and commissioning, owner’s and lenders’ engineering. For an ongoing megaproject related to a desalination plant in KSA, SWPC is looking for an experienced electrical engineer to join the project team. Role Description This is a full-time on-site Electrical Engineer role located in Ras Alkhair. The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for coordinating designing of water treatment systems from the electrical point of view, including but not limited to preparing SLDs, defining the technical specification of equipment, preparing technical data sheets, RFQs, confirming their compliance with project requirements. Responsibilities- Electrical design inputs- SLDs- Choice of electrical equipment (cables, switchgears, transformers, etc.)- Preparation/review of electrical technical specifications for equipment and materials- Preparation/review of electrical technical data sheets for equipment and materials- Preparation/review of electrical RFQs for procurement- Preparation/review of electrical ITPs for equipment and materials- Technical evaluation of vendors’ offers- Coordination with relevant stakeholders (SWPC team and client) Qualifications- B. Eng. In Electrical Engineering- Min. 10 years of experience in the field of water treatment, desalination, chemical industry- Experience with HV, MV and LV systems- Experience with substations- Experience with typical electrical solutions applied to filtration systems (DMF, RO, pressurized filters, etc.)- Design experience- Knowledge of relevant international standards (IEC, etc.)- Knowledge of CAD- Able to work under pressure- Able to face the client (the office is at the client’s location)- Preference for candidates immediately available in KSA What we offer- Salary in line with the experience- Fast paced, stimulating work environment- Possibility to work on an iconic project for the KSA water sector- Interesting projects pipeline which will allow for the possibility to move on a new assignment
