Purpose of the Job:The Visibility and Merchandising Manager for Beverages in KSA is responsible for developing and executing in-store and point-of-sale (POS) strategies that maximize beverage visibility, drive sales, and elevate brand experience across national and regional retailers. This role collaborates with marketing, distribution, retail operations, and external partners to ensure consistent execution of merchandising standards across channels (retail, Super Market, Convenient Stores) and markets. The role includes negotiating with customers for dedicated display space (e.g., block displays, chiller space) and managing rebates/incentives tied to space provision, branding opportunities, and seasonal campaigns, with adherence to KSA regulatory requirements.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:A. Visibility and Merchandising Execution Develop and implement merchandising strategies that enhance visibility and maximize brand impact across all channels (Modern Trade, Traditional Trade, Wholesale, and E-commerce). Ensure product placement, planogram compliance, and shelf share in line with category and brand objectives. Monitor execution of promotional displays, coolers, and branded fixtures in coordination with Trade Marketing and Sales teams. Guarantee consistency of brand image and identity across all retail environments. B. POSM Management Plan, allocate, and track POS materials (permanent and temporary) for all regions and channels. Ensure efficient utilization, installation, and maintenance of POSM assets. Develop and manage a centralized POSM tracker with usage KPIs and cost efficiency reporting. Coordinate with suppliers and agencies for the design and production of high-quality visibility materials. C. Field Force Management Lead, train, and evaluate a nationwide team of Merchandising Supervisors and Merchandisers. Conduct regular market visits to assess execution quality and coach field teams on standards. Manage manpower planning, route assignments, and performance metrics for merchandising teams. Reinforce discipline, attendance, and productivity compliance among the field force.
D. Coordination & Collaboration Collaborate with Sales and Trade Marketing teams to align visibility priorities with sales objectives. Support new product launches and promotional campaigns by ensuring in-store readiness and visibility. Provide feedback to the Trade Marketing Manager on competitor execution, shelf share, and category trends. Work closely with Supply Chain for timely delivery and availability of POSM materials. E. Reporting & Analysis Track visibility and merchandising KPIs (Share of Shelf, Planogram Compliance, POSM Utilization). Provide detailed execution reports by channel, brand, and region. Identify execution gaps and develop corrective action plans. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and shopper insights to improve merchandising efficiency.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):Share of Shelf (FIFO) achievement across categories. Planogram and visibility compliance rate (%). POSM deployment and utilization effectiveness. Execution quality and audit score. Merchandising team productivity and coverage efficiency. Cost optimization and POSM budget adherence. Market visit frequency and corrective action closure rate.
Requirements Experience:Minimum 6–8 years of experience in FMCG merchandising, visibility management, or trade marketing. Proven experience in managing large field merchandising teams and POSM assets.
Knowledge:Deep understanding of retail merchandising, in-store execution, and shopper marketing. Knowledge of trade channels and category management principles. Experience in visual merchandising and POSM lifecycle management. Familiarity with digital visibility tools, retail audit systems, and e-commerce merchandising practices. Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. Fluency in English and Arabic (spoken and written).
