We are seeking a Parts Specialist who is responsible for supporting maintenance operations by identifying, sourcing, and managing spare parts required for repair and servicing activities. Working closely with mechanics and supervisors, the role ensures that the correct parts are selected from illustrated parts catalogues and accurately entered into work orders and purchase requests, contributing to efficient and timely maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities:• Assist mechanics and technicians in identifying the correct spare parts for maintenance and repair tasks. • Use illustrated parts catalogues, technical documentation, and manufacturer systems to select accurate part numbers. • Prepare and complete parts requisitions, work orders, and purchase requests with precise and complete information. • Ensure parts requests comply with technical specifications, maintenance procedures, and internal standards. • Coordinate with the warehouse, purchasing department, and suppliers to ensure parts availability and timely delivery. • Monitor parts usage and report discrepancies, shortages, or potential issues. • Maintain accurate records of parts orders, consumption, and inventory movements. • Support continuous improvement of parts identification and ordering processes. • Comply with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements applicable to the maintenance environment.
Minimum requirements of the role:• Technical background in mechanical, automotive, or industrial maintenance• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Automotive Mechanics or a related field.• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the same field.• Proven experience as a Parts Specialist, Parts Coordinator, or similar role in a maintenance workshop.• Strong ability to read and interpret illustrated parts catalogues and technical manuals.• Good understanding of maintenance processes and spare parts management.• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.• Proficient in MS Office and maintenance/ERP systems.• Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with mechanics and technical teams.• Good command of English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications • Experience working in a maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) environment. • Knowledge of OEM parts systems and databases. • Inventory management or logistics experience.
Working Conditions • Based in a maintenance workshop environment (Military base). • May require occasional interaction with suppliers and internal departments.
