Job Description:

At Mapa Group, as “Procurement Specialist (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA))” you will be a value-adding team member in context with our construction projects from conception to completion in the vibrant environment of KSA. You will have an opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring project objectives are met within budget and timelines, and maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and project management skills.

This role will be evaluated for our projects located in Riyadh, Jubail, and Al Kharj in Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities:

Procurement Process Management:

  • Ensure effective and efficient execution of procurement activities for raw materials essential to engineering projects.

Negotiation and Supplier Management:

  • Act as the technical engineer and Subject Matter Expert (SME) in negotiations with suppliers to obtain favorable prices, terms, and conditions of payment and service levels.
  • Manage lead times and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.

Cross-Departmental Coordination:

  • Coordinate activities with Planning, Quality, and accounting departments to streamline the procurement process.

Supplier Relations:

  • Improve partnerships with current suppliers to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
  • Search for alternative local and international suppliers and materials.

Evaluation and Recommendations:

  • Periodically evaluate suppliers based on on-time delivery, quality, lead time, and provide appropriate recommendations to management.

Supply Chain Risk Management:

  • Monitor, identify, and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure uninterrupted project timelines.

Market Research:

  • Stay informed about new trends, market conditions, and regulations in the aerospace market.
  • Investigate aerospace raw material markets on a global scale.

Document Management:

  • Archive and organize all purchasing documents systematically to ensure they are available for audit purposes.

Skills

  • University degree in related departments.
  • 3 years + work experience in similar projects in this field
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic is preferred.
  • Knowledge in local consumable materials in industrial projects.
  • Experience with SAP, specifically in MM (Materials Management), WM (Warehouse Management), and PS (Project Systems) modules is preferable.
  • Having worked in Dammam / Al Khobar / Jubail / Riyadh cities.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage supplier relations effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction materials, equipment, and services and global procurement trends.
  • Cross-functional coordination experience with Planning, Quality, and accounting departments.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
