Role overview:
A diverse role requiring experience in a wide Mobility typologies, including Water Mobility Terminals, Advanced Air Mobility (vertiports), BRT Systems, Park and Ride facilities, Transit interchanges and multi-modal hubs and rail. The Role will include developing / testing pre-conceptual designs, design reviews, management of employers requirements and the development of multi-modal design guides.
Requirements Summary:
- Develop Pre-concept designs for a diverse range of mobility assets and transport mode types including; Road Based Interchanges, Multi-modal hub, BRT systems, water based transport, air based transport, Park and Ride Facilities, Bus Interchanges etc.
- Understanding of physical spaces and places as is relates to Autonomous Vehicles, Water Mobility (Elect Ferries, Water taxi’s) EVTOL, STOL and other forms of advanced air transport.
- Assist in the development of System Wide Design Guide; Incorporating Branding, Wayfinding, Materiality, Signage, Public Realm.
- Design Review of Mobility assets developed by external parties
- Strong ability to prepare, develop and edit drawings and presentation material
- Undertake the production of visualization, pre-concept, concept design
- Acts as Lead reviewer of qualitative architectural design review process, providing analysis, comment, within a formal Comment Review System.
- Manages Design and Asset Brief compliance, completeness and accuracy, including design coordination within architecture and across disciplines
- Lead and develop design manuals, standard design documents
- Understanding materiality and its specifications
- Understanding Public realm design and application
- Ability to solve design issues in a creative and pragmatic way by developing multiple designs options that meet the design approach and budget
- Manage communication, coordination, across internal Land Mobility Departments and across NEOM departments/sectors
- Produce deliverables in accordance with NEOM standards and policies.

- Understanding of structural engineering and its relationship with good transport design outcomes
- Excellent ability in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Adobe Suite; Grasshopper and V-Ray is a plus
- Outstanding presentation skills, using digital platforms
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communication with clarity, purpose and accuracy
- Strong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines
- Good leadership skills
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Excellent ability in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Adobe Suite; Grasshopper and V-Ray is a plus
- Min 5 years of post-graduate work experience in outstanding architectural or multi disciplined design offices
- Proven experience in an Architectural Practice
- Design experience in various transport architectural types: water, air, road based transport architecture.
- Experience and extensive knowledge of design and construction materials and their application
- Design experience of place making and public realm design related to transport architecture
QUALIFICATIONS
- B.Arch or B.Sc. in Architecture from a recognized university
- Postgraduate in Architecture
