What We're Looking For

We are seeking a talented Bilingual Copywriter fluent in both Arabic and English to join our creative team! Our Bilingual Copywriters play a pivotal role in crafting original copy that resonates with the target audience across diverse linguistic and cultural landscapes. Responsible for generating compelling content ideas that captivate and engage audiences, they contribute to campaigns that make an immediate, positive impact on consumers, promoting the products or brands being advertised. This includes developing straplines, slogans, body copy, jingles, and scripts that complement advertising visuals. Bilingual Copywriters collaborate closely with Art Directors to ensure seamless integration of visual and textual elements, producing integrated advertising solutions for our clients at Ogilvy.

To Succeed In This Role, You Need To

  • Demonstrate exceptional conceptual prowess, generating ideas that push creative boundaries and resonate across Arabic and English-speaking audiences.
  • Develop outstanding advertising campaigns, showcasing excellent creative judgment in both languages.
  • Lead and mentor a diverse junior creative team, delegating responsibilities and fostering collaborative teamwork.
  • Manage challenging accounts effectively, maintaining high standards and setting achievable goals for self and team.
  • Exercise sound judgment in handling business, client, and employee issues, demonstrating maturity and discretion in client interactions.
  • Understand fiscal responsibility, treating client resources with the same care as one's own.
  • Maintain consistency in delivering work that is strategically on target and executed with distinction.
  • Ensure proper sourcing of the creative department and keep the Creative Director informed about relevant issues and campaigns.
  • Deliver work to brief on time and uphold quality standards in both Arabic and English content creation.
  • Possess strong listening skills to fully understand briefs and articulate creative ideas effectively.
  • Build strong relationships with Account Management, Strategy, and Social teams to ensure alignment and synergy.
  • Articulate creative ideas clearly to team members and stakeholders, fostering collaboration and understanding.
  • Understand and appreciate the nature and value of brands, acting in the best interest of the brand at all times.
  • Apply natural curiosity to uncover unique insights around brands and generate fresh, original ideas from briefs.
  • Push the boundaries of original thinking to explore innovative creative solutions in both Arabic and English.
  • Translate strategic creative concepts into compelling executions across diverse linguistic and cultural contexts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of copywriting experience, preferably in advertising or marketing, with proficiency in both Arabic and English.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills in both languages.
  • Proven experience in managing social media content and engaging online communities in Arabic and English.
  • Understanding of the energy sector and familiarity with the unique considerations of clients' industries is advantageous.
  • Proficiency with content management systems and social media tools for bilingual content creation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and building brand identities across Arabic and English-speaking audiences.
