The HSE Manager is responsible for overseeing health, safety, and environmental initiatives within the organization, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting a safe working environment for employees.
Job Responsibility:
- Evaluate, ensure and monitor the compliance with local legal requirements related to QHSE.
- Be the focal point for the clients in the country/region for all QHSE matters.
- Ensure compliance with the standards ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO45001:2018, in case of countries certified under these international standards.
- Review and adapt the company’s H&S risk assessments and environmental impacts analysis according to the local conditions/requirements.
- Support the preparation of QHSE sections of pre-qualifications and tenders for the country/region.
- Ensure the provision of internal QHSE training for all employees (field and office/base personnel) assigned to the country/region (and constant follow-up).
- Ensure compliance with local and clients training requirements.
- Perform internal QHSE audits to the bases and units of the country/region.
- Prepare and follow local external QHSE audits done by clients and/or third parties.
- Follow-up the action plans of internal and external QHSE audits done in the country/region to ensure the closure of all findings.
- Follow-up the status of the non-conformities from clients’ service evaluation.
- Monitor the availability and condition of safety equipment in the bases and units of the country/region.
- Prepare the proper HSE reports when incidents occur in the country/region.
- Monitor the QHSE KPIs and send the data and information monthly to the HQ QHSE dept.
- Collaborate and support HQ QHSE dept. when requested.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-risk industry.
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions.
- Certification in health and safety management (e.g., NEBOSH) is a plus.
