As part of our expanding operations in the Middle East region, we are seeking a Production Supervisor to join our dynamic team. Based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
Job Brief:
The Food Production Supervisors coordinate food processing and complete duties such as adhering to sanitation standards, setting schedules, monitoring employee performance, overseeing manufacturing processes, solving technical issues, and training workers.
Responsibilities:
- Organize the team’s work, following absenteeism and hours for break.
- Manage staff: integrate, train, appraise, redefine responsibilities, praise, ensure development and gauge training needs.
- Lead a team: delegate, instil a sense of responsibility, set targets, communicate instructions, control, listen.
- Provide reports to his line management.
- Apply well-defined standards (nominal speed of lines, position, recipe application, cleaning procedure, hygiene etc...)
- Make sure that all record are properly understood and done.
- Collect and record production data for all lines (production, breakdown, productivity, rework generated etc..).
- Analyse department performance indicator and communicate with his team and each line supervisor.
- Increase operatives’ awareness of the quality and hygiene rules.
- Apply the hygiene and quality rules and ensure that they are respected.
- Propose improvement actions.
- Contribute to maintaining the quality system in force.
- Lead and control the various production parameters and implement corrective actions.
- Propose improvement actions.
- Propose technical and organisational improvements to his line management.
- Be involved in trials (machines, products, processes, etc.).
- Follow the planning (item codes), manage the packaging supply. Manage each sequences of production (quality change, cleaning etc...).
- Organise his team’s output (human and technical resources).
- Apply the safety rules and ensure that they are respected.
- Participate in analysing occupational hazards.
- Prevent potential risks.
- Take the necessary measures if people are in danger.
Requirements & Skills:
- Degree in Food & dairy Industry Engineering or Equivalent.
- Saudi National
- Good Understanding on English Language (Writing & Speaking)
- Minimum 2 years in a responsible leadership role in the food industry.
- Minimum 5 years Supervisor experience in manufacturing or similar environment.
- Experience in a food preparation or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of HACCP and related food safety procedures.
- Technical acumen, experience with and abilities in setting up, adjusting machinery.
- Ability to thrive in a multicultural diverse workplace.
- Can multi-task in an effective manner and work under tight deadlines.
- Ability to collect data, prepare and interpret production reports.
- Proven success at achieving goals and consistent operational results.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees and management Fundamental.
- Computer skills including Email, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Excellent knowledge of HACCP, CFIA, GFSI, OSHA
- Direct involvement in Health & Safety and/or Food Safety.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
