Job Description:
Parsons is seeking a Civil/Structural Lead Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Lead Engineer will play a critical role in the design and development of a state-of-the-art stadium construction project. The successful candidate will leverage their extensive experience ensuring the highest standards of engineering excellence, safety, and sustainability are met. This role requires a deep understanding of structural engineering principles, innovative problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to clients and stakeholders.
What You'll Be Doing:
Lead the structural engineering design efforts for the stadium project, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and best practices.<br/><br/>Provide technical expertise and oversight throughout the design process, from conceptual development to detailed engineering and construction documentation.<br/><br/>Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to develop integrated design solutions.<br/><br/>Conduct detailed structural analysis and design of stadium components, including foundations, superstructure, and specialized sports facility elements.<br/><br/>Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and calculations prepared by the engineering team.<br/><br/>Ensure design solutions are optimized for safety, performance, and cost-effectiveness.<br/><br/>Coordinate with project managers to develop and maintain project schedules and budgets.<br/><br/>Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.<br/><br/>Interface with clients, presenting design concepts and solutions, and addressing any technical inquiries or concerns.<br/><br/>What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering;<br/><br/>A minimum of 18 years of experience in structural engineering, with a significant focus on large-scale projects such as stadiums, arenas, or similar structures.<br/><br/>Extensive knowledge of structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD Pro) and CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).<br/><br/>What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
