Call center agents Job description: 

  • Schedule appointments for patients.
  • Answer telephone promptly and in a polite and professional manner.
  • Obtain and enter accurate information (address, telephone number).
  • Schedule appointment correctly - review appointment date, time, and location.
  • Remind caller to arrive 15 to 30 minutes before scheduled appointment to complete paperwork.
  • Remind caller of cancellation/no-show policy.
  • Answer questions and offer other information, as requested.
  • Direct calls to other departments as needed.
  • Use sound judgment in handling calls, especially with upset patients.
  • Understanding of when to escalate calls to doctor’s /insurance/ nurse.
  • Make reminder calls as requested.
  • Make calls to reschedule appointments when necessary.
  • Make calls to ensure customer satisfactions.

Proven experience as call center agent or similar supervisory positionExperience in customer service is essentialProficient in English; Good knowledge of additional languages will be a definite plusWorking knowledge of MS OfficeTech savvy with knowledge of telephone equipment and relevant computer programsKnowledge of performance evaluation proceduresOutstanding communication and negotiation abilitiesA results-oriented approachExcellent organizational and leadership skillsAbility to work under pressure
