A contracting company wants to hire Electrical Design Engineer with excellent experience in the roads and infrastructure to work in the Technical Office in Makkah Al-Mukarama, as follows:
Job Qualification:
- The candidates must have good experiences in road (bridges, culverts retaining walls, ...) and infrastructure.
- Education: BS degree in electrical engineering with 5 years of related electrical engineering experience
- Industry: Construction/ Engineering
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- To survey and report on existing electrical installations and identify customer requirements.
- Provide electrical design details for new and refurbishment projects.
- Communicate with contacts at all levels, and attend meetings.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time will be essential
- Provide financial support and advice for equipment and projects.
- Set clear goals and expectations to sub-contractors and site teams.
- Assist with the ion and management of sub-contractors
- Conduct post project reviews to determine areas for future improvement
- A HNC or above in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Electrical qualifications to 17th edition
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Able to carry out electrical engineering aspects such as sizing motors, cables and other electrical engineering calculations.
- Ensuring that all work is carried out in line with current Health & Safety legislation and Company procedures
- Perform electrical system calculations using ETAP and SKM Power Tools (CAPTOR). Experience with using industry wide electrical system calculation/design tools, such as ETAP, CAD 2D and cable designing and routing software
- Responsible for all quantities and material takeoff in all stages of design and tenders
- IT skills design programs including Word, Excel and Microsoft Project is essential to analyse data and make decisions.
- In conjunction with the Installation Department and Procurement Department carry out an audit of our existing subcontractor listing to ensure they are fully compliant and accredited.
- Carry out "checks" of subcontractors design and testing certification.
- To highlight any future requirements for the business in terms of changes in legislation.
- Site surveys
- Researching suitable solutions and estimating costs and timescales.
- Interpreting design specifications and technical drawings
- Produce reports. Preparing product documentation, writing reports and specifications. This could also include the monitoring of a product in use to improve on future designs.
- Design electrical requirements for refrigeration systems, including loadings, infrastructure and systems.
- Design control networks
- Be familiar with industry software
- Working to standards, ensuring compliance to the latest regulations
