The Safety Steward is responsible for supporting a safe and compliant working environment by identifying potential hazards, promoting safe work practices, and assisting with the implementation of health and safety procedures.
The role involves conducting safety observations, reporting hazards and incidents, supporting safety inspections, and ensuring that employees and activities comply with applicable safety requirements and organizational procedures.
The Safety Steward will also contribute to safety awareness activities and assist in maintaining accurate safety records and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular safety inspections and observations to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
- Report safety hazards, incidents, near misses, and non-compliance issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Promote safe working practices and encourage employees to follow established health and safety procedures.
- Assist with implementing and monitoring safety procedures, policies, and preventive measures.
- Support incident investigations and assist in identifying corrective and preventive actions.
- Participate in safety meetings, awareness campaigns, toolbox talks, and relevant training activities.
- Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, incident documentation, and other required safety records.
- Monitor the use of appropriate personal protective equipment and report any observed deficiencies.
- Support compliance with applicable occupational health and safety requirements and organizational standards.
Minimum Job requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in occupational health and safety or a related field.
- A degree or academic background relevant to occupational health and safety, environmental health, engineering, or a related discipline is required.
- Recognized professional safety certifications or relevant safety training are required.
- Completion of an OSHA 30-Hour course or NEBOSH certification is required.
- Fluent English language proficiency is required.
- Ability to identify workplace hazards and understand basic risk assessment and safety control measures.
- Ability to prepare and maintain safety reports, records, and documentation.

المسؤوليات:
- إجراء عمليات تفتيش وملاحظات منتظمة للسلامة لتحديد المخاطر والظروف غير الآمنة.
- الإبلاغ عن مخاطر السلامة، والحوادث، والحوادث الوشيكة، وقضايا عدم الالتزام إلى الموظفين المختصين.
- تعزيز ممارسات العمل الآمنة وتشجيع الموظفين على اتباع إجراءات الصحة والسلامة المعتمدة.
- المساعدة في تنفيذ ومراقبة إجراءات وسياسات السلامة والتدابير الوقائية.
- دعم التحقيقات في الحوادث والمساعدة في تحديد الإجراءات التصحيحية والوقائية.
- المشاركة في اجتماعات السلامة، وحملات التوعية، ومحادثات السلامة، وأنشطة التدريب ذات الصلة.
- الاحتفاظ بسجلات سلامة دقيقة، وتقارير التفتيش، ووثائق الحوادث، وغيرها من سجلات السلامة المطلوبة.
- مراقبة استخدام معدات الوقاية الشخصية المناسبة والإبلاغ عن أي قصور يتم ملاحظته.
- دعم الامتثال لمتطلبات الصحة والسلامة المهنية المعمول بها والمعايير التنظيمية.
الحد الأدنى لمتطلبات الوظيفة:
- خبرة مهنية ذات صلة لا تقل عن 4 سنوات في مجال الصحة والسلامة المهنية أو مجال ذي صلة.
- يشترط الحصول على درجة علمية أو خلفية أكاديمية ذات صلة بالصحة والسلامة المهنية، أو الصحة البيئية، أو الهندسة، أو تخصص ذي صلة.
- يشترط الحصول على شهادات سلامة مهنية معترف بها أو تدريب ذي صلة بالسلامة.
- يشترط إتمام دورة الأوشا (OSHA) 30 ساعة أو الحصول على شهادة النيبوش (NEBOSH).
- يشترط إتقان اللغة الإنجليزية بطلاقة.
- القدرة على تحديد مخاطر مكان العمل وفهم التقييم الأساسي للمخاطر وتدابير التحكم في السلامة.
- القدرة على إعداد وتوثيق تقارير وسجلات ووثائق السلامة والاحتفاظ بها.
