Overview The Corporate HSE Manager will play a key leadership role in shaping and strengthening Aljomaih Energy & Water’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) framework.
This includes developing, enhancing, and ensuring full compliance of all HSE policies and procedures with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
This role will oversee HSE performance across both existing operational assets and new project investments during their construction phases through to commercial operation.
This oversight includes leading HSE audits, conducting training programs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to maintain the highest standards of safety and environmental stewardship.
A critical part of the role is to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to manage the Return of Experience (RoE) and Lessons Learned processes.
The Corporate HSE Manager will ensure that these insights are captured, analysed, and shared effectively across projects and assets, leveraging smart tools and structured systems to support knowledge transfer and preventive action.
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia Your Job Functions (Duties & Responsibilities) 1.
HSE Oversight: Implement HSE policies and procedures.
Conduct regular site audits/inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
Collaborate with Project Company’s/O&M Company’s/EPC Contractors to ensure compliance with local and international HSE regulations.
2. Risk Assessment: Perform risk assessments and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
Develop and implement emergency response plans to address potential accidents or incidents.
3. Training and Awareness: Conduct HSE training sessions for project personnel and contractors.
Promote a strong safety culture by fostering awareness and understanding of HSE policies and procedures.
Promote a learning culture.
4. Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
Maintain detailed records of all incidents and their resolutions.
5. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and submit regular HSE reports to project management.
Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, audits, and training sessions.
6. Compliance: Ensure that all project/asset activities comply with relevant HSE legislation and standards.
Collaborate with regulatory authorities and conduct necessary permitting activities.
7. Emergency Response Coordination: Develop and implement emergency response procedures and coordinate drills.
Liaise with local emergency services to ensure a rapid and effective response in case of emergencies.
Qualifications & Skill Sets Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
10+ years proven experience as an HSE Manager at corporate level for construction and/or development companies.
In-depth knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and standards.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Relevant certifications in HSE (e.
g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are highly desirable.
Relevant auditing certification.
