ResponsibilitiesOur newest opportunity is for a talented Mechanical Engineer to join our award-winning team based in Riyadh, KSA.
This critical role will be responsible for maintaining communication with the client’s site engineers on all project-related issues, and reviewing and implementing mechanical contract drawings and building specifications.
We envisage success in this role to include:
- Lead and manage all mechanical engineering activities under the PMC scope of services.
- Oversee mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection (mechanical components), and specialist systems relevant to hospitality and residential developments.
- Review and manage mechanical design submissions, calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
- Coordinate closely with architectural, structural, electrical, civil, and infrastructure teams to ensure fully integrated building systems.
- Manage and review the performance of mechanical design consultants and contractors.
- Liaise with local authorities, utility providers, and relevant stakeholders to support approvals and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor technical quality, risks, and constructability, with consideration for waterfront and coastal environmental conditions where applicable.
- Support construction activities by responding to technical queries, reviewing shop drawings, and ensuring compliance with approved designs.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to mechanical engineering teams.
QualificationsTo be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
Minimum 20+ years of professional experience, with extensive involvement in residential and mixed-use developments.
Mandatory consultancy experience, preferably within a PMC or design management role.
Proven experience delivering mechanical systems for hospitality, residential, and mixed-use developments.
Experience in waterfront or coastal developments is highly desirable, including exposure to corrosion control, environmental conditions, or specialist systems.
Strong technical knowledge, coordination skills, and stakeholder management capabilities.
