Supervise civil and structural works for the renovation of a high-rise, five-star hotel. Ensure all structural works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, Saudi Building Code requirements, and approved safety procedures. Supervise selective demolition, core drilling, slab openings, structural modifications, and additions to existing reinforced-concrete structures. Review structural shop drawings, method statements, demolition sequences, temporary works, shoring designs, and propping calculations. Review concrete repair proposals, structural strengthening details, material submittals, and technical calculations. Supervise concrete repair, crack injection, carbon-fibre-reinforced polymer wrapping, steel strengthening, and structural retrofitting works. Verify structural load paths and load transfers before approving demolition, modification, or strengthening activities. Monitor the condition and behaviour of the existing structure during heavy renovation works. Conduct structural condition assessments and coordinate surveys of existing structural elements. Witness non-destructive testing, concrete core testing, load testing, and other structural investigations. Monitor building movement, settlement, deflection, vibration, and foundation stability where required. Coordinate structural works with architectural, MEP, facade, interior design, and specialist installations. Resolve conflicts between existing structural conditions, as-built information, and proposed renovation works. Conduct site inspections, identify non-compliant work, and monitor corrective actions. Coordinate with the Structural Designer of Record and specialist strengthening contractors on technical issues. Review structural as-built drawings, testing records, warranties, and handover documentation. Report structural risks, safety concerns, technical issues, and progress delays to the Project Manager.
