Job description

Position Summary

ARES is seeking a seasoned Business Development & Sales Manager to lead sales growth of its physical security portfolio — Threat assessment, Command & Control (C2) systems, Physical Security Information Management (PSIM), and Robotics/Autonomy solutions — across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Based in Riyadh and reporting to the Regional President, MENA, this individual will own relationships with key Saudi government agencies, including the Ministry of Interior (MOI), the Ministry of Defense (MOD), and their affiliated departments and agencies, as well as partners driving ARES's growth in one of the region's most strategic security markets.

Key Responsibilities

•    Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and business development strategy for ARES's physical security portfolio (PS, C2, PSIM, robotics & autonomy) across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

•    Identify, build, and manage relationships with senior stakeholders across Saudi government agencies, in particular the Ministry of Interior (MOI), the Ministry of Defense (MOD), and their affiliated departments, directorates, and agencies in addition to the private sector.

•    Own the full sales cycle — prospecting, qualification, solution positioning, proposal development, contract negotiation, and closing — for government and enterprise opportunities.

•    Navigate Saudi government procurement, tendering, and vendor registration/qualification processes, partnering with local agents, distributors, or system integrators where required.

•    Partner with ARES's technical and solutions engineering teams to develop compelling RFP/RFI responses, technical demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements.

•    Represent ARES at relevant industry events, exhibitions, and government engagements within Saudi Arabia (e.g., World Defense Show, Intersec Saudi Arabia) and internationally as needed.

•    Maintain an accurate, up-to-date sales pipeline and forecast, and report regularly to the Regional President, MENA on business development progress.

•    Provide market intelligence on competitor activity, procurement trends, and emerging opportunities within the Saudi physical security sector.

Skills

Required Qualifications & Experience

•    Minimum 10 years of progressive, quota-carrying sales/business development experience within Saudi Arabia, specifically in the physical security technology sector (Command & Control systems, PSIM, robotics/autonomy, video surveillance, or critical infrastructure protection).

•    A demonstrated, verifiable track record of successful sales engagements with Saudi government entities — specifically the Ministry of Interior (MOI), Ministry of Defense (MOD), and/or their affiliated departments and agencies. Candidates must be prepared to provide evidence of past success (e.g., references, closed-deal summaries, case studies) during the interview process.

•    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical discipline; an advanced degree or equivalent professional experience is an advantage.

•    Fluency in both English and Arabic, written and spoken, is mandatory.

•    Deep understanding of Saudi government procurement, tendering, and vendor registration/qualification processes.

•    Willingness and ability to travel frequently within Saudi Arabia and internationally.

•    Saudi national or holder of valid Saudi work authorization, with an established professional network within the Saudi security sector, strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

•    Existing relationships with decision-makers within MOI, MOD, the National Guard, or other Saudi security and defense agencies.

•    Experience selling into giga-projects or critical national infrastructure programs aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.

•    Prior experience representing an international (preferred USA based one) OEM or technology vendor in the Saudi market.

Travel Requirements

This role requires frequent travel within Saudi Arabia to meet clients, partners, and government stakeholders, as well as periodic international travel for company meetings, training, and industry events.
