GE Vernova is seeking a Maintenance Engineer ECT to join its team in Dammam, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This role is structured as a 12-month internship, providing an opportunity to gain practical experience within an industrial environment.

The Role of Maintenance Engineer ECT

The Maintenance Engineer ECT is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, reliability, and safety of plant equipment. This position focuses on bridging the gap between technical strategy and operational execution, with a primary goal of minimizing downtime, reducing maintenance costs, and implementing long-term equipment improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the effectiveness of current Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks and update schedules to minimize instances of "over-maintenance" or "under-maintenance."
• Monitor key reliability metrics, such as Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), to identify and address systemic issues.
• Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations, including standards set by OSHA and EPA.
• Participate in internal and external audits to verify that maintenance records and safety protocols are strictly followed and adhered to.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Possess a strong command of Excel and demonstrate analytical ability to understand the underlying causes of failures, moving beyond simple fixes.
• Exhibit high attention to detail and a strong desire to learn within a collaborative, fast-paced industrial environment.
• Able to accurately interpret complex technical diagrams and schematics to ensure maintenance is performed according to design specifications.
• Capable of evaluating the effectiveness of Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks with the objective of eliminating waste, reducing unnecessary downtime, and ensuring overall equipment health.
