Role Description We are looking for a Procurement Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical) to join our team in Riyadh or Buraidah, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement of mechanical and electrical materials and equipment for infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with technical specifications, project quality standards, budgets, and schedules. Key responsibilities include reviewing engineering drawings, technical specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs); preparing Requests for Quotation (RFQs); evaluating technical and commercial proposals; negotiating with suppliers; issuing purchase orders; coordinating with project and engineering teams; and following up on material deliveries to ensure project requirements are met efficiently and on time.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.4+ years of experience in engineering procurement, preferably in infrastructure, water, or wastewater projects. Strong knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical materials and equipment, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and Bills of Quantities (BOQs). Proven experience in technical and commercial bid evaluation, supplier negotiation, and procurement management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/SAP systems, with a working knowledge of Auto CAD. Excellent communication, negotiation, supplier management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
