About the Opportunity

UCC Holding is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is designed for a motivated junior professional with 0-1 years of experience, providing essential support to the structural engineering team across various building projects.

Role Summary

The successful candidate will contribute to the design, coordination, and documentation phases of building projects. This involves assisting in the preparation of structural calculations, drawings, and technical documentation, while ensuring strict compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and applicable codes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing structural calculations, technical reports, drawings, and design documentation.
• Support the structural design of buildings and other structures under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Review structural drawings and ensure coordination with architectural and MEP disciplines.
• Assist in analyzing structural elements and verifying compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Support the preparation and review of shop drawings and material submittals.
• Assist in reviewing tender and IFC drawings and identifying design discrepancies.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, consultants, and project teams to resolve design-related issues.
• Assist in preparing material take-offs and quantity estimates for structural works.
• Participate in site visits to monitor construction activities and verify compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Support the preparation of technical packages and engineering documentation.
• Assist in reviewing technical submittals from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate project records and engineering documentation.
• Support the implementation of HSE initiatives and comply with company safety policies and IMS requirements.

Required Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in structural engineering.
• Basic knowledge of structural analysis and reinforced concrete and steel design principles.
• Familiarity with international design codes and engineering standards.

Essential Skills and Attributes

• Ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong communication skills.
• Willingness to learn in a fast-paced engineering environment.
• GCC experience is not required but will be considered an advantage.
