Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Planning Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules for major construction projects, ensuring timely delivery while supporting project teams with planning, progress reporting, and schedule analysis. This role requires extensive experience working on large-scale, multi-billion SAR building projects with Tier 1 main contractors

Key Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent planning software. Prepare baseline programmes, recovery schedules, and revised project plans throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor project progress, identify schedule variances, and recommend corrective actions to maintain project milestones. Conduct critical path analysis, delay analysis, and earned value assessments to support project performance. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and executive planning presentations. Coordinate with project managers, engineering, procurement, commercial, and construction teams to ensure alignment between project activities and schedules. Review subcontractor programmes and monitor their progress to ensure compliance with contractual milestones. Support the preparation and evaluation of Extension of Time (EOT) claims by providing detailed planning analysis and schedule impact assessments. Participate in project planning meetings and provide schedule-related recommendations to senior management. Requirements10+ years of planning experience with Tier 1 main contractors is mandatory. Proven experience working on multi-billion SAR construction projects, including high-rise towers and other large-scale building developments. Extensive expertise in:Project Planning and Scheduling Primavera P6Critical Path Method (CPM) Progress Monitoring and Reporting Delay Analysis and Extension of Time (EOT) Claims Resource and Cost-Loaded Scheduling Baseline Programme Development Risk Analysis and Recovery Planning Strong understanding of construction sequencing, project controls, and planning methodologies. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple project schedules simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
