Job description

A Factory Manager specializing in wooden furniture and crafts is sought. This role is responsible for the effective execution of all production and technical operations within the factory, ensuring the highest levels of efficiency, quality, and occupational safety, while adhering to established timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Planning and organizing daily and monthly production schedules to ensure customer demands are met within specified timelines.
• Supervising the inspection of raw materials and finished wooden products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Monitoring inventory levels of wood, accessories, and chemicals, and coordinating purchasing activities.
• Participating in the development of designs and converting engineering drawings into viable products ready for manufacturing.
• Directing and training supervisors, technicians, and workers, and evaluating their performance regularly to enhance efficiency.
• Monitoring maintenance schedules for machinery and production tools.
• Implementing safety and health standards to minimize workplace hazards and injuries.
• Overseeing operational expenditures, reducing waste in raw materials, and improving profit margins.

Skills

• Work Experience: Strong and proven experience of not less than 5 to 7 years in the field of wooden crafts and furniture manufacturing (essential requirement).
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Business Management, or related fields.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of types of natural and synthetic woods, manufacturing methods, finishes, and modern woodworking tools.
• Management Skills: High ability to lead, make decisions, solve operational problems, and manage crises.
• Planning Skills: Excellent skill in budgeting, strategic planning, and analyzing production data.
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in using production management software (ERP) and basic design software (like AutoCAD).
